Where to celebrate the Royal Wedding across the East Midlands
The Royal Wedding is almost upon us with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tying the knot on Saturday 19th May. Here’s how you can join in with the celebrations across the East Midlands.

At Sandicliffe we were honoured to receive the Royal Warrant in 1974 by her majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the supply and maintenance of several horseboxes and other commercial vehicles which we continue to work with today! Join us for the big day, Sandicliffe Stapleford will be celebrating by showing the wedding live!

With the excitement of the Royal Wedding, almost 30 roads will be closed in Nottinghamshire on the 19th to make way for street parties.
One of the main events taking place is on Temple Drive in Nuthall, this will be for all ages and involve around 60 properties, there will be many activities there, like football, sack races and a bake-off. The street party will be raising money for mental health charity MIND and Arches, a homeless charity.
They have previously celebrated Prince William and Kate’s wedding which was a huge success.
If you prefer to dine inside there are also a number of restaurants and tea rooms that will be commemorating the event, including:
Browns Bar & Brasserie who will be serving classic English dishes to complement the wedding, along with serving champagne.
Debbie Bryan – to celebrate the Royal Wedding they will be serving a fine selection of tea and scones with thick clotted cream and fruity jam for just £7 per person.
During the 17th to the 19th, May Thomas Sabo will be celebrating in store at Highcross Leicester with champagne, nibbles and a 15% discount off Royalty, the Victorian-inspired jewellery range!
Winstanley House Afternoon Tea
On May 19th Winstanley House in Leicester will be hosting afternoon tea to celebrate the Royal Wedding, with a royal-themed afternoon tea where you can watch the magical occasion take place whilst sipping bubbly and being served a range of food including scones, shortbread and finger sandwiches.
