The All-New Ford Focus
On the 10th of April 2018, Ford unveiled its All-New Ford Focus, this fourth-generation car is the most progressive Focus we’ve ever seen.

The New Ford Focus gives you the standard option of a stop/start petrol 1.0 EcoBoost or a new 1.5 litre EcoBoost with 148bhp and 180bhp guises. If you prefer a diesel engine you have the option of their new EcoBoost 1.5-litre engine with either 94bhp or 118bhp. You can even get an impressive 2.0 litre with 148bhp. Ford’s new auto box will be available on the 123bhp 1.0 and 148bhp 1.5 petrol and on the 11bhp 1.5 and 2.0-litre diesel.
The redesign of the new Focus has given it a slicker appeal making the car look more streamlined and aerodynamic. The exterior design manager Jordan Demkiw said “The cabin sits a lot further back compared to the old models and the A-pillars are slanted backwards… Add in a longer bonnet and there’s a more powerful look… this is enhanced on the high-spec cars; if you go for a Focus with larger wheels, it eats up more sheet metal, allowing the car to sit better. The Focus is now lower and wider than before; we have been able to achieve all the good metrics of car design while offering more space.”
Round the back, the Focus badge has been spaced out and centred above the number plate to give it a more premium look. “Spacing the letters out help give it that look (premium) “Said Demkiw.
Inside the new Ford Focus drivers can expect the latest in Ford technology, with an 8” touchscreen that runs SYNC 3 and has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities as well as live SAT NAV updates. With the new Focus comes the new FordPass Connect system that includes a WiFi hotspot for up to 10 devices. Coupled with the Ford Pass app, it’s handy to set up your car from anywhere.
Much like the Fiesta Active. The Focus Active gives the car an SUV inspired style with extra body cladding and a 30mm taller ride height. The new Active, as well as an estate version, have an identical trim line up. The estate offers 1,650 litres of carry space when the back seats are down.
