We would like to say that summer is in full swing but that isn’t strictly true. However if the sun does make an appearance there are plenty of events in Nottingham to keep you happy. Whether you are looking for family outings, a perfect date night or just something a little bit different. We take a closer look at summer events in Nottingham!
The Malt Cross located on St. James’s Street is not only a great pub that offers excellent beers, ales and food. It is also one of the last Victorian Music Halls in Britain that still plays host to live acts today! Since the refurbishment a year ago the Malt Cross is also now home to the Henderson Gallery, a hub for creative minds.
You don’t have to be a regular theatre goer to enjoy some of the great outdoor performances taking place across the city. Some of the plays taking place are Macbeth at the historic Nottingham Castle, & Much Ado About Nothing at the grand Newstead Abbey. There are 17 performances altogether including Ratburger, ideal for entertaining the little ones! So grab your shades…or umbrella and enjoy something different outdoors!

The city’s annual music festival is back with a bang! This year’s line-up includes legendary bands The Human League & UB40 as well as chart-topper Jess Glynne headlining! There are many other loved artists; Jamie Lawson, The Darkness and The Fratellis among others!

The Riverside Festival is one of Nottingham’s biggest summer events. Rides, entertainment and a stunning firework display over the River Trent are just some of the highlights. A whole weekend of free family fun including the Dragon Boat and annual Duck Race!
