Sandicliffe unveil the 2013 Ford Transit at two special launch events
With Over 6.8 Million Models Sold Since The Ford Transit Vans Launch 47 Years Ago, The Time Has Come For Fords Newest Edition.
January 09, 2013
It has sold 6.8 million models since its launch 47 years ago and is one of Europe’s most recognised vehicles. Now, we’re launching the brand new Ford Transit at two special launch events in Nottingham and Leicester and the new model offers you much more than ever before. At present, 30 per cent of commercial vehicles sold in Europe are Transits and this number is set to increase in 2013 with the launch of the next generation model. Improvements to the new Transit range from sleek exterior styling to its interior ‘car-like’ features. Barb Samardzich from Ford Europe even called the new Transit a ‘pretty sexy looking van’ when it was unveiled in Birmingham earlier this year. David Haynes, head of Commercial Sales at Sandicliffe, said: “The Transit has long been the best selling commercial vehicle in many countries including the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Spain and Greece. The new generation Transit not only drives better than any previous model but also has much more of a ‘car-like’ feel than its predecessors. We expect it to become increasingly popular with motorists looking for something more than a white box on wheels.” Our new Transit launch events are at our Stapleford site on Saturday 8 December and at Leicester Tigers’ Welford Road stadium on Sunday 9 December.
You will be able to see and drive the next generation Transit as well as enjoy hot food and refreshments. Mr Haynes from Sandicliffe, the leading commercial vehicle retailer, added: “We are now the only supplier of Ford commercial vehicles in Leicester and so we’re the only place in the city where you will be able to come along and see the superb new Transit for yourself.” As well as a sleek new design and improved interior features, the new Ford Transit also includes Ford’s innovative SYNC system, designed in partnership with Microsoft. This allows you to make voice activated telephone calls and receive audible texts.
In conjunction with an MP3 player it also features a voice activated audio system that allows you to browse and play your music collection by artist, song title or genre. Mr Haynes, the Ford commercial expert, added: “Auto Express recently called the Transit a ‘worthy new addition to a line-up that has enjoyed more than two million sales in the UK since 1965.’ We’re delighted to be launching this model in the East Midlands and I urge you to come and see the new Transit for yourself at one of our two December launch days.”
