A red-carpet event was held in Leicester to raise funds for local cancer research charity Hope Against Cancer. Hope’s Clinical Trials facility is also based in the city at Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Charity is helping to fund vital, life-saving research prioritising early detection of the condition.
The charity put on a Moulin Rouge-themed Ball, where they created a Parisian wonderland at the beautiful Winstanley House also in Leicester. Complete with a drinks reception, three-course meal, casino, and live music. The ball took place on the 24th February and was hosted by BBC commentator Ian Stringer.
Hope Against Cancer Chief Executive Nigel Rose said: “We’re incredibly excited to be hosting our Moulin Rouge Ball at Winstanley House. As a charity we rely entirely on support and donations from fundraising events such as this. We’ll have great food, singers and dancers, music, and a firework display to end the night, plus we’ll be holding a raffle with some great prizes on offer.”
Sandicliffe Ford Transit Centre Leicester was amongst the many companies who sponsored the event, as a local business we pride ourselves in helping the community in any way we can.
