Sandicliffe set to hand over keys to first right-hand drive Ford Mustang

Over 1,800 Brits have already ordered their new Mustang and, this week, Gareth Bartsch will become the first Sandicliffe customer to drive away his right-hand drive Mustang. A special handover ceremony will take place at our Trent Bridge dealership in Nottingham to mark this landmark moment for Ford in Great Britain.

Phil Lycett, Ford Manager at Sandicliffe Trent Bridge, said : "The initial run of Mustangs offered for sale during the 2015 Champions League final sold out in just 30 seconds and demand for the iconic muscle car has been overwhelming.

"Mr Bartsch is one of the lucky few to have reserved his new Mustang and we\'re delighted to be finally handing over the keys. It will be great to see the right-hand drive Mustang on British roads."

The new Mustang is available as a fastback or a convertible in right-hand drive for the first time and comes with a choice of a 2.3l EcoBoost Petrol engine or a 5.0 V8 petrol engine. Standard equipment includes Ford\'s voice activated SYNC 2 system, performance braking and a sports-tuned chassis.

Reviews of the new car have been terrific with the Independent calling it \'a proper four-seat coupe with a 4.8-second 0-62 time, a good balance of road manners and absolute stand-out looks\'. Top Gear added that \'the engine is hale and hearty, the dynamics engaging, and the cabin is on-par with Euro-Ford levels of quality but has a character all of its own\'.
