Sandicliffe host very special Mustang test drive event

For over fifty years, the Ford Mustang has been one of the most famous sports cars in the world. The new right-hand drive Mustang finally arrived in the East Midlands at the end of 2015 and now Sandicliffe are hosting a very special event for drivers interested in the iconic muscle car.
Our Ford Mustang Test Drive event will be hosted by our state-of-the-art FordStore in Leicester and our FordStore, Trent Bridge, Nottingham on the weekend of Saturday 23 January and Sunday 24 January 2016. It\'s your chance to get behind the wheel of the right-hand drive Mustang and to experience the car for yourself.
Adam Ferdinando, head of New Car Sales at Sandicliffe, said: "The Mustang has been one of the most eagerly anticipated cars in the UK for years and our special event gives drivers the chance to get behind the wheel of this great car.
"For two days we\'ll be giving local motorists the opportunity to see what the Mustang can do at our FordStores on Welford Road in Leicester and Trent Bridge in Nottingham."
The new Mustang comes in a choice of a convertible or a fastback with a 5.0l V8 or 2.3l EcoBoost engine. Top Gear called the car a \'bargain\', adding that it boasts \'lots of on-paper spec and performance\'. A sports-tuned chassis, independent suspension and performance braking come as standard while inside the cabin drivers benefit from Ford’s advanced SYNC 2 system with voice and touchscreen control.
Demand for the Mustang has been strong, reflecting the current success of Ford in the UK. 2015 saw Ford record its highest level of new vehicle sales since 2004 while the 350,000 cars sold in the UK last year was the highest total since 2007.
