Sandicliffe claims prestigious Top 250 award

Who are the UK\'s best businesses? That question was answered this week at a gala awards ceremony in London. The Sunday Times event celebrated the UK’s best small to medium sized enterprises and awarded Sandicliffe a ‘Top 250’ award, celebrating the continued success of the locally based business. Published in the Sunday Times every October, the Top 250 list celebrates Britain’s best privately owned businesses. Recognising success in a variety of industry sectors, the award is testament to the continued high levels of service and expertise that you get from Sandicliffe. David Haynes, Group Commercial Vehicle Manager, picked up the award on our behalf. He said: “It’s an honour to be recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the leading 250 companies in the UK. “Without the hard work of all my colleagues at Sandicliffe, there’s no way we would win recognition like this. Only through the commitment of all our team have we been able to maintain our award winning level of service.

And, it’s this care and attention that keep you - our customers - coming back again and again.” The top 250 companies in the UK generate sales of £77 billion and profits of over £5 billion. And, they employ over half a million people – more than the population of Liverpool. Writing in the Sunday Times, David Maxwell said: “At a time when the Treasury needs companies to prosper, pay taxes and create employment, the Top Track 250 are leading the way”. The gala award ceremony at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London’s West End celebrated the success of Britain’s privately owned enterprises. It also gave business owners to network and to share ideas.
