Following our partnership with Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Sandicliffe are proud to announce that we will be taking part in The Big QMC Abseil 2019.
That’s right, one of the most exciting fundraising events returns to Nottingham on Saturday 21st September 2019 in aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity. The occasion is the perfect opportunity to raise some money for the amazing charity that helps to improve the medical facilities in Nottingham hospitals.
For those not aware, the event will entail a 100ft abseil down the side of the Queen’s Medical Centre University Hospital all in the spirit of charity! The event has been a hit year after year with the public pooling in donations over £14,000 in 2017 and just under £12,000 in 2018.
The best thing about it is you can choose exactly where the money you raise goes, making the cause that little bit more personal. Whether you wish to raise money for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, specific wards or wish to fund research, all participants are able to fundraise for the hospital area that is closest to their hearts.

Millie raised over £1,200 for the Nottingham Children’s Hospital’s Big Appeal in 2017.
Samuel Coleman, 13
“I completed a 25K charity swim last year and raised £1,000 for the Big Appeal. This year I wanted a different challenge so I will be abseiling down the side of the Queen’s Medical Centre. As I am only 13 and I have only abseiled twice before – nowhere near this height – this will be a massive challenge for me!”
