On Wednesday 22nd May, Sandicliffe Ford attended one of Nottingham’s biggest business events at De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre for this year’s Nottingham Post Business Awards.
To put it into perspective, Mike Sassi, Nottingham Post Editor shared: "In case you are wondering why you are here, it is because your businesses create the jobs and generate the revenues that drive our economy.”
The statement was strong enough to reiterate the sense of community and celebration of the triumphs achieved by local businesses in and around Nottinghamshire.
Luke Edwards for Sandicliffe says “As sponsors of the event, it was amazing to see the level of energy attendees brought along with them and it was a great honour to be amongst such innovative and like-minded people.”

The evening consisted of a fanciful lineup of hosts and entertainment including Broadcaster and Comedian, Mark Dolan, Olympic medalist and International Badminton competitor, Gail Emms and The Voice UK 2018’s finalist duet, Belle Voci.
You may recall that in April we attended a Sponsors and Finalists Champagne and Canapés Evening and although it was a great night of networking, we were eager to see which local companies brought home the bacon! After months of anticipation, winners of the 15 esteemed categories were finally announced:
Company of the Year – SDL Group
The big winner of the night was Property Management and Services firm – SDL Group who picked up Company of the Year as well as being a finalist for the Contribution to the Community Award.
Headquartered in Chilwell, Beeston, the two-time nominated property group has demonstrated that it truly is revolutionising property services whilst not forgetting to give back. As well as generating jobs in the community, SDL Group has raised over £150,000 for charitable causes whilst achieving a growth rate of 62.9 percent.
Paul Gratton, CEO of SDL Group explained: “We had a 5-year plan and we are executing against that plan and so far, so good.” He went on to reassure “There are more opportunities and more growth to come!”
