It’s the New Year which means resolutions, we’ve already made ours; save. With many exciting new releases scheduled for the year ahead, we’ll need to! We have compiled a list of which models to keep your eyes peeled for and what to expect from some of 2017’s most anticipated new car releases.
The all-new model arrives in a five-door option only with a more spacious and plus interior. The Rio is one of Kia’s best-selling models but the new model aims to surpass the current 70,000 models sold in Europe to other 100,000 a year! Apple CarPlay, a three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine in 99bhp and 118bhp power units and much improved ride and handling are just some of the new features.
The all-new Rio will be a sharper model with improved interior and technology, sure to make a lasting impression when it hits dealerships in February.
The second generation of Mazda’s crossover was revealed at the LA Motor Show back in November with a striking Soul Red exterior. The new CX-5 receives slimmer headlights, a larger grille and a tweaked tailgate. As for performance, details are to yet be confirmed but with an impressive re-style, longer body and the latest infotainment system, we can guarantee engine options to match.
Expected mid-2017 and rumoured to cost around £23,000+ for petrol options and £25,000+ for diesel models.
The cutesy bubble shaped Micra gets a much-needed facelift with sleek and angular styling that Nissan have adopted to many of their best-selling models. The Micra will also offer new infotainment and tech and sportier handling. Hoping to share similar success to that of the Qashqai and Juke, the city hatchback is expected March at around £10,000.
Details have been kept hidden about the best-selling SUV’s new face-lift. However we do know that the model will have an abundance of autonomous tech! That’s enough to get us excited, you can expect to see the new Qashqai towards the end of 2017.
The second SUV in Skoda’s line-up aims to be a game changer with the option of five or seven seats. You can also choose one of the five engine choices; two 2.0 litre diesel, two 1.4 litre petrol and a 2.0 litre petrol. Some of the notable features include a practical and more premium interior as well as a class-leading boot capacity. The Kodiaq arrives mid-2017.
The Octavia Saloon & Estate models receive an update to keep in line with the all-new Skoda Kodiaq.
The Ecosport saw revised styling back in 2015 to suit the needs of European buyers, the all-new model will also receive a complete re-fresh with new styling.
The next generation of the Ford Fiesta includes four new models; Active, Vignale, ST-Line and Titanium. Personalisation and cutting-edge style is at the forefront of the new models. Re-imagined, the new Fiesta receives sharper styling with an aerodynamic body and a whole array of tech features. The next-gen Fiesta is one of 2017’s most anticipated models but can it continue the long winning streak as the UK’s best-selling hatchback? We will find out when all four models arrive to dealerships mid-2017.
