Goodwood SpeedWeek took place on 16th – 18th October 2020 to provide a series of motorsport entertainment. The 3-day event combined ‘the greatest elements of the Festival of Speed and Revival into one unmissable online event\'.
We were ecstatic to be joining the selected crowd of motorsport professionals and were even more excited because this was our official debut with Sandicliffe’s home-built Steve McQueen Edition Bullitt Mustang.

That’s right, not only did we build the UK’s first-ever Steve McQueen Edition Bullitt Mustang, but we took it to the famous tracks where it was put to the test by specially endorsed drivers and celebrity racers. Proud was an understatement.
In association with Steeda and Michelin, we had created a 720bhp Bullitt masterpiece and there was no better event than Goodwood SpeedWeek to burn some rubber!

Also at the event was the All-New Puma ST, Ford Mustang Mach-1 and the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 Prototype.
The Puma ST sported a Mean Green colourway and stood out amongst the mesmerising line-up of cars before lapping the track to show off its capabilities.

It was also announced at Goodwood SpeedWeek that the Ford Mustang Mach-1 would be making its way to the UK very soon as a 454bhp special edition. Whilst we were hoping for the higher power performance unit, it was confirmed that the 480bhp powertrain was reserved for other markets including the US.

Talking of high power outputs – have you seen the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 Prototype? The 1400 in the name stands for the horsepower behind the electric race car – who said electric couldn’t be high performance?
The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 Proto was a sure head-turner at the festival thanks to its aggressively sporty styling and astonishing 7 electric motors producing a 1,400hp output!

But that isn’t to overshadow Ford’s latest road electric model, the All-New Mustang Mach-E now available to order at your local Sandicliffe FordStore.
Despite not being able to join the typical crowds of thousands at the usual Festival of Speed and Revival, we were over the moon to be able to play such a big part in Goodwood SpeedWeek 2020.
Whilst a few lucky members of our team got to witness the magic of motorsport in person, a lot of us joined the millions of fans behind screens at home to experience virtual thrills of the jaw-dropping line-up packed with ‘wheel-tow-wheel racing in some of the world’s most valuable and historic cars’.
Goodwood SpeedWeek 2020 was the perfect example of evolution through challenge and it was an extraordinary celebration of auto, to say the least.
