Ford has long been the market leader when it comes to motoring technology. Now, to celebrate the manufacturer’s latest innovations, Sandicliffe are hosting a very special weekend of events to showcase the brilliant range of technology available on new Fords.
Between the 16th and 18th January Sandicliffe will be part of Ford Tech Live; an event designed for you to experience Ford’s latest technology across the company’s range of vehicles. From innovations designed to keep you and your passengers safe to new fuel-efficient engines and the latest in-car entertainment system, the Ford Tech Live weekend is a great opportunity for you to see this new tech for yourself.
Adam Ferdinando, head of Ford Car Sales at Sandicliffe, the East Midlands new and used Ford experts, said: “These days, Ford cars are packed full of dozens of superb technologies designed to keep you safe and entertained while cutting your motoring costs and reducing your environmental impact. Ford Tech Live is designed to showcase some of the many new features that you can benefit from when you buy a new Ford.
“We’ll be showcasing the new Ford Mondeo which comes with an updated version of Ford’s SYNC system which gives you voice activated hands-free calling and a voice controlled audio system. SYNC also features an 8 inch touchscreen, audible text message read back and Emergency Assistance which automatically calls the emergency services if your car is involved in an accident where the airbags are deployed.”
As well as a range of innovations inside the vehicles we will also be demonstrating some of Ford’s award-winning engines. For example, the new Ford Focus is the first car in Europe to benefit from Ford’s fuel-efficient 1.5l EcoBoost petrol engine while its new 1.5l diesel engine will deliver 74.3 miles per gallon in the six-speed manual version.
Our experts will also be highlighting other new Ford innovations including the Advanced Park Assist system which helps you to drive in and out of a parking space. We’ll also be showing off the hands-free tailgate, the blind spot information system and revolutionary inflatable rear seat-belts which expand to five times the normal size to minimise injury.
Mr Ferdinando from Sandicliffe, the new and used Ford experts, added: “Ford Tech Live will run from Friday 16 January to Sunday 18 January at our six Ford locations across the East Midlands.
