Sandicliffe Become First UK Car Dealer To Trial New NHS Donation Initiative
Sandicliffe Ford Nottingham become the first car dealership in the UK to trial a new Tap To Donate service enabling instant donations to the NHS.

Following our recent partnerships with major healthcare charities in the East Midlands, we have now become the first car dealership in the UK to display NHS Tap To Donate equipment in our Nottingham Ford dealership.
The scheme has been put in place to facilitate and simplify the donation process which can sometimes prove to be time-consuming and as a result hinder or discourage people to donate.
But thanks to the innovative new facility, customers can now simply tap their card onto the NHS Tap To Donate system at any point during their visit and automatically send a donation of £3.
All funds raised through this initiative will be sent to Nottingham Hospitals Charity’s Big Appeal which is currently working to raise £3 million for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, specifically the Big Neonatal Appeal.
The Big Neonatal Appeal aims to raise vital funds to put towards Neonatal Units at the Queens Medical Centre and City Hospital in Nottingham, where the intensive treatment of around 1,500 pre-term and unwell babies takes place.
The appeal hopes to fund new paediatric imaging equipment, improved facilities and new treatments as well as investing medical research into health condition diagnosis in premature babies.
Our goal for 2020 is to raise £100,000 so that together we can help more people like Kuda Nyatsuko and her daughter Anotida (pictured). So please, if you do find yourself at our Abbeyfield Road site in Nottingham and wish to be a part of this amazing appeal, simply tap your card onto the NHS card reader in the café area and know that you have made an important difference to the community.
If you’d prefer to fundraise through an event, you can do so by signing up via Nottingham Hospitals Charity\'s website. Fundraising events include the likes of the Rushcliffe 10K, skydiving, the Dragon Boat Race and one we took part in recently ourselves – the Big QMC Abseil!
Sponsoring the Big QMC Abseil 2019 not only helped us raise awareness for the incredible work that Nottingham Hospitals Charity do, but we were able to fundraise towards a target of £1,000 with the help of all our staff and customers!
