A brand new Nissan dealership opened its doors in Nottingham in September - although this is no ordinary car showroom. Local new car experts Sandicliffe have teamed up with the Japanese motor giant to build the UK’s flagship Nissan centre which is now the tallest Nissan showroom in the world.
The state-of-the-art centre is also believed to be the largest Nissan dealership in Europe. Offering a full range of Nissan models including the award-winning Qashqai and Juke the centre offers a huge choice of used cars as well as service and repair facilities. It’s also one of just 18 centres in the UK to showcase Nissan’s supercar, the GT-R. Keep reading to find out more.
Now officially open, Sandicliffe’s Nissan showroom in Nottingham features over 25 brand new models across four dedicated floors. There is a Playstation area for kids, a superb choice of new and used cars and full servicing and MOT facilities.
The new centre features all of Nissan’s new models including the new Qashqai, named as What Car? magazine’s 2014 Car of the Year. You can also check out the popular Nissan Juke and X-Trail as well as the Micra, Note, Pathfinder, 370Z and NV200 models.
The centre also stocks a great range of new and used commercial vehicles including the popular Nissan Primastar and Navara models.
The record-breaking dealership also specialises in electric vehicles. You can find out about the many financial and environmental benefits offered by electric cars and there’s a great choice of the most advanced electric vehicles including the Nissan Leaf. You can even top-up your battery at the centre’s rapid electric car charging points.
The centre is located on Abbeyfield Road, just off the A52 and adjacent to the Riverside Retail Park and the Showcase cinema. As the world’s tallest Nissan dealership it’s hard to miss and there is lots of free parking available.
In 2007, the Nissan GT-R announced its arrival by clocking the fastest lap at the Nurburgring by any production car. The supercar boasts a top speed of 196mph and features dual clutch six-speed transmission and a 3.8 litre twin turbo V6 engine that is hand-assembled by a single engineer.
Inside the cockpit, Nissan have reinvented the way that performance information is shared. Collaborating with PolyPhony Digital, creators of the famed Gran Turismo racing games, Nissan have built an intuitive system that gives details of the car\'s mechanical information and clearly displays performance, cornering, acceleration, and g-force data.
Autocar says that the GT-R is ‘possibly the best value performance car ever’ while Chris Evans awarded the GT-R his first ever ‘six star’ rating saying that ‘this car, pound for pound, blows every other car in the world clean out of the water.’
