We have 105 glorious women working within Sandicliffe, who make up 25% of our workforce. Each year we take this opportunity to celebrate the successes of the women in our business, please see some of our talented and inspirational females below Today we celebrate them ALL!

I started my Sandicliffe journey at the age of 16! - 12 years later and I am now managing the parts department at the FordStore in Nottingham. Initially it was very daunting, after struggling with my dyslexia throughout school and entering a professional working environment. However, I have always been supported by colleagues throughout my time here. I feel Sandicliffe has shaped who I am as a person today. We are like a family, I’ve had numerous ‘work parents’ through the years. Just the other day my apprentice told me that I am his ‘work mum’ however I don’t consider myself old enough to be!

International women’s day at Sandicliffe, what does it mean to me?

I always knew Joining Sandicliffe as a HR Advisor, with no automotive experience was always going to be challenging, but the last 7 months has flown by!!!

I have been fully embraced into the family culture and been supported along every step of my journey so far not only by amazing HR colleagues, but managers, General managers and so many more individuals. 

There is always a friendly face to point me in the right direction and due to this culture, it has led me to some very early career successes within my role. 

This year’s international women’s day theme of “#EmbraceEquity” is very fitting to my role as a HR Advisor, as I get to guide, advise and offer my support all managers and fellow employees to truly live out the Values and service mission.

Sandicliffe have encouraged and supported my development from when I started as a Marketing Coordinator in 2021. It’s fulfilling to work in a diverse team where everyone works towards a common objective. I am supported not only by my team, but the rest of the business in my endeavours, whether that is working towards a professional or personal goal.
