Thrilling Handover Adventure for First INEOS Grenadier Customers
After a few months of delay, INEOS finally got to give their first handover. But this handover was one of a kind. Just like the INEOS Grenadier is one of a kind.

First Stage…
The INEOS Automotive team decided to create a contest on social media, “Hard Way Home” where entrants were invited to take part in an off-road adventure in the UK with videos of the candidates posted on INEOS Automotive’s social media channels. Only 3 candidates could be selected for this extreme handover. The lucky customers had to be followers from the beginning but also had to be amongst the first to reserve the car. Followers voted for their candidates and the adventure started for them…
Second Stage…
The winners were taken to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, in a remote valley with one of the world’s most dangerous roads… The Tizi-n-Test. That is where their handover happened. And their adventure started.
The adventurers had to drive their brand-new INEOS Grenadier through the Tizi-n-Test which is a small pass in the High Atlas Mountains at 2,093 metres. As this wasn’t hard enough, a storm appeared, complicating the challenge of this expedition.
“We wanted to celebrate the handover of the first Grenadiers with a once-in-a-lifetime expedition for three lucky customers,” explains Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive. “It was an innovative campaign to engage our customers and followers, upping the ante from your standard silk sheet reveal handover. It was always intended to be a challenging trip, enabling the Grenadier’s capabilities to shine, but the whole team got far more than they bargained for.”
