Never more than a couple of poorly chosen words from the public spotlight, the controversial Top Gear presenter has, as you may imagine, a garage full of the world’s best cars.
A 2011 report published in the Daily Mail suggested that Clarkson owns a Lamborghini Gallardo (estimated value at least £115,000), a Volvo XC90, a BMW M5, a Aston Martin V8 Vantage, a Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, a Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG, a Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE, two VW Sciroccos, a BMW Z4, a Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
However, it is reported that one of Clarkson’s favourite cars for regular use is none other than his trusty Ford Focus – the second biggest selling car on Britain’s roads.
Lansbury became famous to millions as the detective Jessica Fletcher in the TV drama Murder, She Wrote. The British-American actress has appeared in over 50 films including Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Manchurian Candidate and Death On The Nile and has six Golden Globes, six Tony awards and an Oscar.
Even though she may be worth millions, Lansbury drives a Kia. The 88 year old was recently spotted running around Beverly Hills in her Kia Soul.
For over 40 years, Motty has been the voice of BBC football. Motson has commentated on over 1,500 matches including seven World Cup finals and all but two of the FA Cup finals from the late 1970s until 2008.
Covering plenty of miles travelling to matches up and down the country, Motson has, in recent years, always trusted a Ford. The voice of TV football in the 1980s and 1990s drives a black Ford Mondeo, his fifth Ford on the trot.
He’s starred in a hit TV series, a film with Tom Cruise and, most recently, The World’s End, the third in a trilogy of films he has starred in alongside Nick Frost. The 44 year old has also played Scotty in two recent Star Trek films. However, he prefers the world’s best-selling roadster to anything more expensive.
In an interview, Pegg confessed: “When I made a bit of money I bought a Mazda MX-5, which cost about £12,000. I’ve changed it since for a newer one...”
The fastest man in the world could drive the fastest car in the world but, instead, prefers to run a Nissan.
The sprinter teamed up with Nissan to design and auction off a one of a kind gold GT-R but Nissan decided to make two. One car was auctioned off and but Usain got one to customize for himself. He stuck with the gold but went with a white interior.
John Goodman, the well-known American actor most recently seen in the Oscar nominated Coen Brothers film Inside Llewyn Davis, drives a 1997 Ford F-150.
With an Emmy and Globe-winning career you may think that the Big Lebowski star could afford something a little more modern. However, driving America’s best-selling pick-up truck somehow seems appropriate
Allen’s most recent album Sheezus takes a swipe at modern celebrity culture. So, it’s perhaps no surprise to see that the chart-topping singer prefers to drive a trusty Ford Focus rather than a flash sports car.
It may be a lime-green coloured RS model, but it’s a Focus nonetheless.
